Rescue Squad

Book Launch and Int'l Interview

On August 21, Congregation Sha’are Shalom in Leesburg, VA generously opened its doors to the community for our “The Miracle Child: Traumatic Brain Injury and Me” book launch. The crowd included first responders, friends, supporters, and members of the congregation. We were especially pleased to have Sean Scott in attendance, one of the responders who tended to Olivia on that tragic day in 2001. Click here for the session (starts about 10 minutes in the recording). It was a very special day for us answering questions from the audience, signing books, and catching up with long-time friends.

On August 30th, we were interviewed by Talk Radio Europe’s Selina Mackenzie. You can listen to our interview, by selecting August 30, 14:00-15:00. We are at about 22 minutes in that hour’s recording (found at https://www.talkradioeurope.com/on-demand/). There were no dry runs or questions that were reviewed by us beforehand. We went ‘live’ in about 2 minutes from signing in. At least we knew the material well!

Coming up in September, Kelly and Michael are co-presenting at the Brain Injury Association of Michigan and Kelly as the keynote speaker at the Brain Injury Association of Maine! Also, we are looking forward to our presentation at the Rotary Club of Dulles International Airport. If interested in having us speak to your organization, feel free to contact us at themiraclechild2001@gmail.com.

Thanks for the tremendous support! Although Amazon updates its Best Seller and New Releases lists hourly, we were pleased to see that “The Miracle Child: Traumatic Brain Injury and Me” ranked as high as #7 on one of the Best Seller lists and as high as #4 on one of the New Releases lists.
